Sukha Delights

Yes, today we were so excited about desserts.
Dee isn't really into sweet tooth, but me-Bi- is a real sweet tooth, especially chocolates.
Okay, let's get into the business.
Sukha Delights is a dessert cafe with minimalist theme. We like their decor, from the moment we step into it. The building is a 2-storey floor.
Unfortunately for us, we couldn't sit on the 2nd floor, cause it was full.
Sukha Delights still a new comer as a dessert cafe in Bandung I guess. But, it gains many popularity due nowadays a dessert cafe is really the IT cafe.
Sukha means Happiness, Pleasure, Gratification, Comfort in Sanskrit.
Sukha Delights reminded us a little bit for Cacaote in Jakarta, minus Cacaote's poor service for their staff's impolite attitude -will tell bad experience with Cacaote maybe next time-.
On the other hand, Sukha Delights gave us a really nice service. They smiled the moment we came, and recommended us their best seller desserts, and if you asked them details of their cakes, they would happily tell you.
The other things that we like about Sukha Delights, were not only their good service, but also their reasonable price. You know, nowadays as dessert cafes become the IT cafe in Indonesia, sometimes their dessert costs you quite a fortune, right? But not in Sukha Delights, they give you not cheap price too, but still a reasonable price one.
As you can see, there were quite many tempting looks from their desserts. They were like whispering at us, "pick me, buy me, taste me, baby.. come to me.."
On the left you could pick some of their mousse, macarons, and soft spongy cakes, and on the right was a special glass shelf of croissants.
Look at their croissants!! Sweet and savory croissants for you croissant lovers. We like their croissant's crispy skin, it's a little bit salty cheesy with crispy taste.
After a little bit battle in our mind -yes, we couldn't decide which one we would give a shot- and help from their staff, we chose Ferrero, Gianduja Latte, Danish Lila Pastila and Tiramisu.

This one below is Ferrero, yes it's contained Ferrero Rocher chocolate as the main ingredient and covered with chocolate on the outside too. The chocolate cover might fool you as hard cover, but nope! You can easily cut the cake because the chocolate cover apparently was so smooth. Besides chocolate flavor, you could taste peanut flavor on it's bottom.
We chose Ferrero besides it looked pretty, Sukha Delights' waiter said this one is their best seller one.
It's appearance is really similiar with one of Cacaote's cake.
Rate: 8/10.
Price: 32.500IDR

Gianduja Latte, more like mousse cake. Velvety smooth with taste of hazelnut chocolates with creamy taste. SO DAMN GOOD! It's not as sweet as Ferrero, because as you can see, it covered with cacao powder which gives this cake a little bit hint of bitter. If you are not a real sweet tooth, we will recommend you on this one.
Rate: 9/10
Price: 27.500IDR

Danish Lila Pastila is a strawberry with cream filling croissant. Strawberries were not really sweet, but not so sour too. As we mentioned, Sukha Delights' croissants have their salty cheese crispy skin, and on the inside you could find cream as the filling. Not into this cream, cause it tasted like ordinary whipped cream.
Rate: 6,5/10
Price: 25.000IDR

One of our favorite is this one, Tiramisu something. Sorry guys, we forgot the name. A little bit bitter with a hint of coffee smells. Velvet, smooth, and creamy.
Rate: 8,5/10

Potato Head Folk Singapore

Hi guys..
This blog is not only about foods and all things around it, but soon, we are gonna post some travel diary too in here..
behold and prepare yourself..

For the first post, we will give you some reviews about Potato Head Folk SG.
Because we just got back from SG ^^.

It is located at Keong Saik Road near Chinatown MRT station.
The building itself is really vintage with 3 levels.
When you first time look at the outside, you can see open kitchen concept, and the tables are put on the terrace. So, you can enjoy your meals while watching people on the street.

Now we will talk about the interior inside, you can see David Bromley's artworks from the moment you go inside PTF SG.
From the stairs, and on the restaurant's walls too..
All the concepts here that PHF SG try to make is more to artsy and creativity..

Each floor in PHF SG, will give you as the customer a different ambience.

On the first floor, you can feel relax, have fun and chit chat atmosphere.
Where you can just hang out with some good friends and have gossip while you sip on your drink.
When we were on PTF SG, we found a unique rule that you couldn't order foods before 6pm, the only thing you can order is their beverages.

Details one of David Bromley's artworks on PTF SG's wall..
So cute, right?

Dee and Bi :)
